Barfection specialise in helping people with little or no work experience break their way into the Hospitality industry. We do this via government funded Study programmes which have been developed with local employers to give you the skills needed to break into the hospitality industry.
What is a Study Programme?
A Study Programme is a course which includes work experience, that gets you ready for employment or an apprenticeship.
Who are they for?
16-19 year olds (as of 31/08/2023)
Those with little or no work experience
Those not currently in education, employment or training
What is involved?
Accredited Industry qualifications such as Customer Service Level 1 and Food and Beverage Service Level 2
Bespoke, industry specific training for cocktail bartending, or Barista Skills
High quality work placement with an employer (4 weeks)
Maths and English (if required)
What is the planned outcome?
The planned outcome is to move you into employment of 16+ hours or on to an Apprenticeship.
What financial support is available?
Grants up to £250 whilst you study (limited availability)
Paid work placement (limited availability)
Bursary and free school meals (eligibility criteria applies)
