Over the last 6 months, Barfection have been delivering regulated qualifications in partnership with the Growth Company to support the economically inactive in Manchester.
Our aim is to provide training to give those who are currently unemployed (including unemployed students), a higher chance of securing employment...
The training we have had on offer includes:
Award in Barista Skills Level 2
Award for Personal Licence Holders Level 2
Hospitality Principles (Beverage Service) including cocktails
Award in Food Safety in the Workplace Level 2
We recently attended an event at the Manchester City Town Hall. Here’s what the Growth company had to say on Facebook. 😊
“GC Employment had a great day supporting Department for Work and Pensions - DWP's Hospitality Works Event! Barfection did an excellent job showcasing the training available through GC Skills Support. It's not all work work work for our Traineeship students in Liverpool. Our programme is not only designed to prepare students for the world of work, but to help generate well rounded people. Support comes in many forms and we hope that everyone who comes through our doors, leaves a better person on the other side. We'd like to take this time to give a massive thank you to our wonderful functional skills tutor and pastoral wonder woman, Cass.
Our bartender Traineeship learners have been very busy this month creating their very own Halloween cocktails. A big part of our programme is to allow our learners the freedom of expression. It enables the free exchange of ideas, opinions and information and thus allows them to form their own opinions. We're very proud of the results this programme is producing with 9 out of 10 learners moving into employment in 2018/19. 9 out of 13 of our October graduates have already found full time employment and we will be looking to work closely over November to secure the rest.
